In 2011, Stuart Stuart State Manager received a scholarship award from the Emergency Services Foundation to study Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) in government arrangements, with particular reference to training and development of faith based volunteers. Stuart interviewed over 20 experts in CISM, Psychological First Aid and Emotional Spiritual Care in Charlotte, North Carolina, New York and Phoenix Arizona.
The reserach and outcomes have significant implications for Victoria and Australia in the delivery of Emotional Spiritual Care in times of disaster.
Stuart was presented with his certificate by Mr. Neil Bibby, Chair of the Emergency Services Foundation at Raheen in Kew. Mrs Jeannie Pratt was present for the ceremony along with other senior emergency service personnel such as Craig Lapsley, Victorian Fire Commissioner, Tim Cartwright, Deputy Chief Officer Victoria Police.
